This is our first visit to The Badlands. It reminds me of Grand Canyon with it’s rock formations and deep-walled appearance. While there are color “striations” along the walls, most of the rock is formed of an almost white sand. And, as you can see, Missy K found a natural slide made of some of the more worn rock.
There are plenty of “walk outs” built into this park. It was about 100 degrees the day we were there so, be sure to take water if visiting during the summer months.
