Exploring St. Pancras Neighborhood
Within two or three blocks is a neighborhood that is being completely rejuvenated. The architecture is modern and edgy, the restaurants chic and a two-block long splash pad for the kids makes it a perfect hang out! There is also a community of river boats housing local residents that go up and down the water lock daily.
This was Kendall’s favorite spot and had outdoor lunch spots and bars for the big kids:) It seemed to be a constant 95 degrees throughout Europe….every country had the same “it’s NEVER this HOT!” comment as we travelled through. I have to be honest…..I was maybe 5 seconds away from running through the water…..then, I got caught…..it seems our group was a bit sensitive to the “international issue” thing…….
We were here FOREVER. I think you can see (featured image at top) how effective that request from her mother was about not getting soaked. Of course, the sun is setting by the time we walk back…..Missy K is freezing….a stop for ice cream is mandatory.
London is literally “under construction”. There were more than 20 cranes dotting the sky as we traveled around the city. Lots of shiny, new architecture…..hope they leave the old stuff too!
