SOMOS ASADO IN BUENOS AIRES

Somos Asado was our very first (in a daily series….just saying) wine pairing in Buenos Aires coordinated by our host and Alejandro Audisio. Somos Asado is a 100% traditional Buenos Aires Bodegon. A Bodegon is what the locals call an informal restaurant where the focus in on food and service, not luxury and fancy menus. Our chef and food guide was Gustovo. The was one of the most amazing meals I have had…and, we travel ALOT! Gustovo uses all grass fed beef (fed only on Pompano grass) and all ingredients are farm to table.

Tasting local “Bubbles” (Encuentro Brut Pinot Noir Sparkling) with Alejandro – we had the entire restaurant to ourselves
We requested only local wines and that they be mid-priced
