“We create stress for ourselves because you feel like you have to do it. You have to. I don’t feel that way anymore. ”
Oprah Winfrey
I’m always on the lookout for great ideas that save time and cut down on wasted motion (have absolutely NADA when it comes to the new & awful “LA-like” traffic in Denver). I’ve been reading a lot about efficiency lately and found this tip that I just LOVE! Thought I’d share it with you….not that you need it…..just sharing:)
Have you ever heard of Parkinson’s Law? It’s pretty much the magic of having a short and definite deadline in which to complete a task or project. It appears that if we give ourselves more time/days to complete something, the task seems to swell to fit that timeframe. To that end, I’ve tried a couple of things to keep my timing in line with my deadlines.
I’ve tried to use my iPhone timer to keep my task on time…I’ve also tried the “Cube” timer found on Amazon….. for some reason, I could not stay focused on the task at hand….always peeking at one of the devices rather than working.
If you need a “countdown” type of timer while online, try this one:
http://e.ggtimer.com/60minutes
You must use the wording to specify amount of time. If you just enter 60, the program reads it as seconds NOT minutes.
You simply articulate time needed…a small “bar” clock counts down for you in the browser bar at top of your screen. Super easy!
HAVE YOU USED THIS TIMER BEFORE? LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU THINK.
Keep going,
