My daughters started this “Tacos All of The Time…” thing when they were young. It was the one thing they felt gave them complete control (where does THAT trait come from???!!!) of what their meal would contain and, honestly, how much “stuff” they could cram into that shell. There was, of course, competition……and lots of walls decorated with various “ingredients” (I’m hoping thats what it was….)! I think you mamas / nanas can get a visual here with NO problem:)
So, now that Missy K is here … it’s her turn….but, she has a bit of a sophisticated palette (a huge Sushi fan) and loves black beans and roasted corn……
Here is her favorite Taco Bar Lineup:
Shredded Lettuce / Cilantro / Limes (mostly for squirting all over the place) / Black Beans / Avocado / Radish / Shrimp grilled and chopped / Shredded Cheese (optional if you are dairy-free) / Fage Plain Yogurt (rather than Sour Cream / Salsa (Peach is on repeat here) / Tortillas (whole wheat and GIANT)
We like to put each item in it’s own little bowl … picking things out is a huge part of the fun.
