I think almost everyone has a family member who knows about a “secret healing” recipe for Chicken Noodle Soup. I used to think these recipes came from Nana’s and Katzs’ Deli in New York.

So, after flying to DC last week in the “sneezing, coughing, snotty” sickbed section of a dreamliner…..I finally succumbed to the sniffles. A great pal of mine offered her super healthy (but super healing) Chicken Noodle Soup.

Ready? Here we go:

I’m not a great cook so I tend to throw things together by eye rather than a strict recipe…..

4 Chicken Breasts baked and shredded

Celery chopped / Carrots chopped / white onion chopped

3 boxes of Chicken Broth (you can also use Vegetable Broth)

Egg Noodles

I sauteed my veggies just to soften them up prior to putting them into the Crock Pot. I used Mrs. Dash for seasoning. And served with cornbread.

It’s super easy and really feels good on that sniffly, sore throat! What is your family fix for the common cold?

Stay healthy and keep Aging Backwards,

xoxo, Rosanna
