IT’S BEEN A BIT OF A STRESSFUL 2020…
Understatement of the century? I think it’s fair to say it’s been one thing after another…….
ONE of the things I hear every day is how stressful and overwhelming this year has been. Whether you’ve become a caregiver for a parent, are dealing with kiddos home-schooling or just having a difficult time with energy and staying positive; mental stress and overwhelm has been front and center for months.
Here are some tips and tactics you can implement today to help:
Spend time outdoors. Eat real foods. Exercise every day (even if it’s a 10 minute walk). Learn to listen and communicate. Make time for yourself (aim for 1 hour per day if you can). Go at your own pace. Learn to meditate. Think of solutions NOT problems. Prioritize. Keep a journal. Live one day at a time. Learn to say “NO”!. Take one day a week to relax. Breathe deeply. Be flexible. Play and laugh. Spend time with friends and family. Set clear for priorities.
If you feel paralyzed by something, don’t hesitate to reach out to a trusted friend or family member for help. Don’t isolate.
Sending good thoughts,
