Nothing better than boarding your plane and opening that first FRESH magazine.
The only other item you really need is a good snack.
To that end, I thought I’d share some of the snacks I take when traveling. Be prepared. Eat something light and enjoy a flight without bloating or that “overly salted” feeling you often get with airline food. You can also use these for days when you meet with clients or run errands and will be away from the house for a long period.
MIXED NUTS – provide a great balance of protein, fat and fiber.
APPLE SLICES WITH PEANUT BUTTER – The apples are fiber-rich and the peanut butter adds healthy fats.
RED BELL PEPPER WITH GUACAMOLE – Red varieties provide antioxidants while the guacamole contains Vitamins A,B & C. It’s also a great source of fat and fiber.
GREEK YOGURT AND MIXED BERRIES – Greek yogurt is loaded with protein and berries contain high levels of antioxidants.
KALE CHIPS – Chocked full of nutrients, kale chips combined with healthy oil keeps you full.
DARK CHOCOLATE & ALMONDS – If you know me, you know we’d get here eventually! What a great pairing – dark chocolate contains antioxidants and the almonds lend satiating fats.
WANDER until found & stay healthy!
