FIBER.
Often heard….why is it SO important to staying healthy?
How much do you REALLY need?
A healthy range for an adult is between 30 – 50 grams of fiber a day.
You want fiber-rich, slow-burning carbs that don’t spike your blood sugar and yet slow the digestion process so you stay FULLER LONGER. You may want to incorporate some PREBIOTICS – prebiotics ( we LOVE our 100% natural, De-Bloat for daily dose of fiber – it’s tasteless and slightly sweet so you can put it in anything) feed healthy bacteria in PROBIOTICS helping them keep your gut happy and functioning at optimal level.
Simply stated – eat more of the following:
Quinoa, Wild Rice, Sweet Potatoes, Butternut Squash, Lentils, Pumpkin, Winter Squash, Purple Potatoes, Yams, and Chia Seeds ( I hide these in everything:)
Shoot for 1 – 2 servings of these foods a day. Each serving should be about 1/2 cup.
